YouTube Download Troubleshooting

Most download problems come from the URL, the source video's availability, format limits, clip range input, or temporary file handling. This guide helps you check the simple causes first.

Metadata does not load

Confirm that the URL is a normal public YouTube link and that the video is available in your browser without a login, membership, payment, or age check. Clypixa is intentionally limited to public YouTube hosts and rejects URLs that do not match the allowlist.

If the video was recently uploaded, deleted, region-restricted, made private, or still being processed by YouTube, metadata may not be available yet.

The format I want is missing

Not every upload has every resolution or audio format. Available formats depend on the original upload, YouTube processing, codecs, video length, and platform changes. Choose the nearest practical option that still matches your lawful use.

The clip range is rejected

Use a time format like 00:30, 01:15, or 01:02:30. The start time must be before the end time, seconds must stay below 60, and the end time must not exceed the detected video duration. If you paste times from another app, remove extra labels or text before trying again.

The file takes a long time to prepare

Large videos, high resolutions, long durations, and audio conversions can take longer. MP3 conversion and clip trimming require server-side processing after the source is fetched. Keep the tab open until the ready message appears.

The download link expired

Prepared files are temporary and are automatically cleaned up. If a link no longer works, fetch the public URL again, confirm your rights, choose the same format or range, and download the new file promptly.

When to contact us

If a public, permitted video repeatedly fails after these checks, send the URL, selected format, clip times if any, and the error message to Clypixa contact. Do not include private login details or restricted content.
